A piece may be reserved with a 50% non-refundable deposit. Once your deposit is received, the item is marked as Reserved and removed from active sale. If Bloom & Grain is unable to complete the sale for any reason, your deposit will be refunded in full.

You may cancel your reservation at any time. If you choose to cancel your reservation, a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the purchase price will be retained to compensate for the time the piece was held off the market and unavailable to other buyers. The remaining portion of your reservation deposit will be refunded. If Bloom & Grain is unable to fulfill the sale for any reason, your reservation deposit will be refunded in full.

Reserved pieces are typically held for 48 hours unless another arrangement has been agreed upon in advance.

The remaining balance is due at pickup or before delivery, unless another arrangement has been made in advance.

We do not currently offer financing. However, larger custom projects may be completed and billed in phases, helping to break the overall project into more manageable stages. Each phase will require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due upon completion of that phase.

Because every Bloom & Grain piece is unique and carefully described, all sales are final.

We take great care to ensure every piece arrives safely and in excellent condition. At the time of pickup or delivery, you'll have the opportunity to inspect your furniture before the handoff is complete. If you notice any concerns, we'll work with you to address them before the sale is finalized.

While we do not offer a formal warranty, we stand behind our workmanship. If you experience an issue related to our refinishing, please contact us and we'll do our best to make it right.

Yes. If you already own the piece you'd like transformed, start by completing our Custom Furniture project form and sharing photos, approximate dimensions, condition details, and your general color or design direction. We'll review the piece and provide a preliminary estimate before moving forward.

That's not a problem. Bloom & Grain offers furniture sourcing for approved custom projects. Tell us what you're looking for, including the type of furniture, approximate size, functional needs, style preferences, and any inspiration you may have. We'll review your request first to determine whether it's a good fit for our sourcing service.

We begin by establishing the specifications for your project, including the type of furniture, approximate dimensions, functional requirements, general style, and any important preferences or limitations. 

Once your sourcing request is approved and your project is reserved, Bloom & Grain searches for a suitable piece based on those agreed-upon criteria. We evaluate potential furniture for its construction, condition, proportions, function, and transformation potential, not simply how it looks in its current state.

Yes. A $50 nonrefundable sourcing fee is required for approved sourcing projects. This fee covers the time involved in searching for and evaluating suitable furniture and is separate from the cost of the furniture and refinishing work.

Our sourcing service is primarily intended for furniture that fits within the scope of our refinishing work, such as dressers, nightstands, end tables, occasional tables, small cabinets, consoles, and similar pieces.

Because secondhand inventory varies, highly specific or uncommon requests may not be suitable for our sourcing service. We review each request before accepting the project.

Before sourcing begins, we'll work with you to establish the specifications and priorities for your piece. When practical, we may share a potential piece with you before purchasing it.

However, quality secondhand furniture can sell quickly, and there may be times when we need to make an immediate purchasing decision. By approving the sourcing criteria, you authorize Bloom & Grain to acquire a qualifying piece that meets those agreed-upon specifications.

We only accept sourcing requests that we reasonably believe we can fulfill. Because secondhand inventory is constantly changing, however, we cannot guarantee an exact sourcing timeline.

If a suitable piece proves unusually difficult to locate, we'll discuss whether to continue the search, adjust the specifications, or end the project. If Bloom & Grain ultimately determines that the sourcing request cannot reasonably be fulfilled, your project deposit will be refunded. The $50 sourcing fee remains nonrefundable because it covers sourcing work already performed.

Pricing varies based on the size and condition of the furniture, the scope of work, the desired finish, repairs or modifications, hardware, materials, and other project details.

After reviewing your project form, we'll provide a preliminary estimate. For sourced furniture, the estimate will also take into account the type of piece we're looking for. Final pricing is confirmed once the actual piece and project scope have been established.

Timelines vary depending on the piece, the scope of the transformation, our current project schedule, and whether furniture needs to be sourced.

We'll provide a more specific timeframe once your project has been reviewed. If sourcing is required, the refinishing timeline begins after a suitable piece has been secured and the final project details have been confirmed.

Often, yes. If you love a Bloom & Grain piece that has already sold, we may be able to create a new piece inspired by its color, finish, hardware, or overall design.

Because we work with individual furniture pieces, no two transformations will be exactly alike. Differences in construction, dimensions, wood grain, existing details, and character mean your finished piece will remain one of a kind. If you don't already own suitable furniture, we can also determine whether sourcing a piece for the project is possible.

Although your furniture is fully cured before pickup or delivery whenever possible, we recommend treating it gently for the first few weeks. Avoid dragging heavy objects across the surface during this time.

We recommend avoiding waxes, silicone-based polishes, and oil-based cleaners. A soft microfiber cloth lightly dampened with water is typically all that's needed for regular cleaning.

Yes, but always use a waterproof tray or saucer beneath plant pots. Standing moisture can damage any furniture finish over time.

Dust regularly with a clean microfiber cloth. For routine cleaning, use a lightly damp cloth followed by a dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners.

Yes. The finish provides excellent everyday protection, but standing water should always be wiped up promptly to preserve the beauty of the piece.

Avoid placing extremely hot items, wet objects, rubber-backed mats, or sharp objects directly on the surface. Coasters, placemats, and felt pads are always recommended.
